Urrrmmm... am I the only one who's thinking well, duh! They've been doing it for years!!!
There was a massive up-roar when they were accused of 'whitening' Beyonce Knowles' skin in an ad (because we all know Bey isn't thaaaat pale), and now they have been found guilty of racial discrimination, in France, because of their all-white recruitment policy.
The "beauty" division at L'Oreal was looking to recruit staff and one of the requirements was that they had to be "BBR" (which is apparently an acronym for the colours of the French flag aka white and of French descent).
Oh, and they size-ists [not sure if that's a word, as they also wanted the women sized between 8 and 12.
paaaahahahaha! Shame on you!!!
I have never and WILL NEVER you L'Oreal products, personally I think Beyonce should buy out of her contract, who wants to be associated with a company like that *sigh*
Turns out, reality tv genuis Simon Cowell and retail king, Sir Philip Green are actually buddies! Who would have thunk it.
The two are reported going into business together to start their own International Entertainment Company.
Their new company will be based in both London & LA, and will be involved in television production, talent management and merchandising, with SC focusing on the presenting and production side and SPG overseeing finances and merchandising.
Sounds like a match-made in industry-heaven to me.
But why?!
But why not... With their individual contacts and the power they have within their respected industries, put them together and they could potentially take over the world... dumn dumn dummmn!
Should be fun to see where this goes I think... Keep your eyes peeled for manufactured celebrities and lots of product placements/sponsorships.
e.g.: "oh, look, that celebrity from that reality talent tv-show has just been spotted in all the hottest clothes and all the latest fashion accessory, all available at TopShop from just £34.99" LOL!
Again, I havn't made this up! Nor is it a retaliation to my favourite nemisis *cough* "thatguybw"! grrr ;)
Urm, actually... its new "music" from our cousins on the other side of the pond...
Urm... not quite sure how I feel about this song... Just another song to create a new dance to (boooring!) Reminds me a little tooo much of Soulja Boy (who isn't one of my favourite artists)
Whaaaaaamp! whaaamp whamp whamp whamp whaaaaamp! *Charlie Brown style* - Watch thevideo, you'll get it.
I have to admit, i'm liking the styling in this video (like a regular day down Shorditch or Brick Lane LOL!) What do you think?!
New video from one of our UK favourites and Sugababe Amelle
...and you know how i'm DEAD AGAINST the whole side-head-shaved-off look... I actually think Amelle pulls it off and gives it a new twist (not just follow fashion) Well done girlie! ;0)
So, the worlds most famous tennis tournament began yesterday, the Wimbledon championships. Every year the top seeded tennis stars battle it out, grunting & screaming their way through, to be named top seed. At least, that what it used to be... not so much any more.
Wimbledon has become as much about the fashion as it has about the tennis, drawing as much attention like it was Paris Fashion Week.
Why the sudden interest in what these athletes are wearing? Urr... can any body say sponsorship?! LOL Points to who ever can name the brand sponsor......
Check out some of the highlights of Wimbledon so far...
We get our first glimpse at the eargly anticipated movie, Alice In Wonderland.
What's that I hear you say...? You've already seen it?! Not this one you haven't.
AIW (Alice In Wonderland) is being remade by none other than the, 'slightly strange', creative genius that is Tim Burton, who has brought us cult classics such as Beetlejuice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands and more. Who doesn't love him, eh?!
The movie will bring back together Hollywood's weirdest trio as Helen Bonham Carter (or Mrs. Burton to some) and hottie, Johnny Depp (last seen together in Sweeny Todd). The rest of the cast include, Anne Hathaway, Matt Lucas, Alan Rickman and Stephen Fry.
Can't wait - sounds like a joy.
(images: Tim Burton's image of 'Wonderland'. Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter. Helena Bonham Carter as The Red Queen)
Eva Mendez fronts her second Calvin Klein ad, reminsent of Victoria & David Beckham's Armarni ad, with model Jamie Dornan (that's Keira Knightley's ex-boyfriend to you and me).
Nike's MVP's (Most Vaulable Puppets) - This has to be one of the cutest things i've seen in friggin ages!
Nike's MVP campaign is a series of online clips/virals, featuring puppet versions of two the biggest stars of the NBA, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James (could you tell?) -both of the LA Lakers who have just won their 15th NBA Championship title! Wahoo!!!
And i'm not just being biased ;) But she really is!!!
You've most likely seen her work at fashion shows, inside RWD magazine, at the Selfridges store in Oxford Circus, even on the world's favourite online store ASOS!
My girl has worked with some of the biggest names on the bloc (including Bizzle, Doneao, Natty, BBK, Sincere, and international star Daniel Merriweather) ...aaaand still rising! There's no stopping this girl.
Check out her video reel - makes me want to give a ring for advice to get dressed in the morning ;)
I've thrown in some of her best work, so you can see what I'm really talking about!
Keep your 'side-eyes' peeled for this shinning talent!!!

WOOOOOW! Ok, I've just heard that Jimmy Choo will be creating a collection for, guess who... H&M!!!
H&M are doing amazingly well with their collaborations with Madonna, Roberto Cavalli and most recently Matthew Williamson.
However, this collabo' will be the first designer range to focus on just accessories, such as footwear and bags. Horaaaaay :)
But fear not my fellow Carrie bradshaw-wannabe's, we won't have to incur further debt to purchase a pair of 'Choos' (I love saying that) no no, we can cop a pair from just £40 for a pair of ballet pumps to about £180 for boots... well its better than £450!
Lala Vasquez (MTV VJ and DJ) has *sigh* shaved the side of her head a la Cassie.
Whhyyyyyy?! I hate this look. I don't get it. Thumbs down from me.
Cassie believes her look is more "Liverpool Rock" and La La's is more "Hood". Hmmm I think Cassie looks like she was mid-Britney-breakdown, and decided against it.
She is an aspiring Music Publicist and more importantly... a consumer of UK music.
Read her thoughts on the hottest albums on the block at the moment - What better insight could you get, than from a consumer... to a consumer, get me! LOL
Think I might make this a new section... hmm... yes. yes, i think i will!
ANY feedback is well appreciated. Thanks people.

Right people here goes my first post on my blog… and its all about music today…
I am advising you all to go to HMV and purchase these three must have amazing albums NOW!!!
Bashy – Catch Me If You Can
This album is what I call versatile and has a lot of different sounds and mixes of music genre’s. It is definitely not a typical rap/mc album and I would NOT class it under the genre of grime.
If your into deep meaningful lyrics with a twist of hype and fun, then this is an album for you.
15 tracks and 2 additional bonus tracks including new release ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’, ‘Kidulthood 2 Adulthood’, and the famous classic ‘Black Boys’.
Also featured on the album is the amazing track Ransom which has a mini film produced (see below)
Donaeo – Party Hard
All I can say if you like to ‘Party Hard’ then this is definitely an album for you. Classified in HMV under the genre of ‘Dance’, which I do have to say (when I first pumped the album) I completely agreed.
As always, Donaeo has continued to share his raw talent with us through the music he both writes and produces, and has compiled an amazingly unique album that is a 'must have' for your music collection. A mix between RnB, Funky House, and Broken Beatz this album consists of 13 tracks with favorites such as ‘Devil in a Blue Dress’, ‘I’, ‘Party Hard’ and yes, oh yes … ‘African Warrior’ !!!
Check out the official music video for Devil in a Blue Dress … enjoy.
and finally...
Skepta – Microphone Champion
The MD of ‘Boy Better Know’ (BBK, if you didn't know) has done it again.
Album no 2 and it is amazing!!! If your into your UK Rap/Grime then believe you will love this.
I was actually surprised when I first listened to this album, because it was actually better than I had expected, not that I expected anything bad but I just never considered myself to me a big fan of "grime" to be honest.
BUT… the album is fresh faced, meaningful, fun and hype which is a good combination to have to draw your listeners in.
Most of the tracks on the album are telling stories that most people can relate to.
The race starts with a simple but straight to the point track named ‘Reflecting’ whereby Skepta tells us how it is and what he is about… basically reflecting his movements and how he feels (best start to an album ever) no chorus, no corny melodies, just straight talking lyrics. Well done skeps!
The album features collaborations with Giggs (Talking the Hardest), Jay Sean, Tinchy Stryder
and the rest of the BBK family.
18 tracks on the album including ‘Rolex Sweep’, ‘Sunglasses At Night’ and the well known club anthem ‘Too Many Men’!!!
Listen out for track no.11 'Disguise', which is a sample of the famous Transformers cartoon soundtrack but instead of it being about robots its about Transvestites lol lol lol … go buy the album NOW !!!
Oh, look... another video for you! BBK ‘Too Many Men’.

If you weren't too happy with the first one, Beyonce has decided to team up with (my future, hott Mac-Hottie boyfriend) Kanye West for the remix for 'ego', "such a big eegoooooo, gotta big egoooo'.
LOL
ok, I lie slightly - the video isn't much different... or at all for that matter. they've just throw Kanye in from a suit in front of some bathroom tiles... Gotta admit, video still looks hott though!
The NSPCC, have signed up to sponsor Dubplate Drama.
Yeay! for Dubplate. Its been around for a while, with recognisiton that only scrapes the surface in the 'urban' community.
Definately a good link up there, as the show touches on knife crime and other troubles faced by today youth and in support DD will promote its (NSPCC) Childline service in their final show.
The show's been comissioned by Channel4 and MTV Base, and issaid to be "the very first viewer-led interactive drama" - So get onto it people! We need more shows/projects like this about. LETS SUPPORT A GOOD THING!
To my knowledge the two final shows will air from 25th June (on both channels, in case you weren't sure).
Check out the AMAZING trailer - I'll be tuning in... xoxo
