JAYZ MAKES THE WRIGHT HEADLINES

Jay Z [the American hip-hop mogul - as if he needed an introduction] will be headlining the Isle of Wight festival (on the Friday night) at the June 2010 event.

He is the festival's first line-up announcement, however The Strokes will be playing the Saturday night headline spot for the three-day festival.

Wonder whose doing the last day?

Others on the line-up for the festival event are Pink, British electronic duo Orbital, New Wave band Squeeze and the legendary Debbie Harry-led Blondie [awesoooome!].

Tickets for the festival go on sale on December 4.

Looking forward to it.

Until then check out performance when he headlined Glastonbury in summer 2008

*** OXJAM ***

is now officially the best thing i have seen/heard of!!!

I can't believe someone didn't think of this earlier...

Oxjam is Oxfam's month-long music festival with a difference: you make it happen. Each year hundreds of music-lovers like you get involved, all across the UK, to raise money for Oxfam by holding their own events. Oxjam will take place once more across the UK in October 2009.

YOU can sign up as an organiser, performer or volunteer.

The whole point of Oxjam is about raising money for Oxfam to tackle poverty all over the world. Holding your own Oxjam fundraising event means that you'll be helping people to earn a living; get an education; gain better access to health care and fresh water; and to grow more food.

IM INVOLVED!!!
