Check out this [Boots] No7's behind the scenes video at the Todd Lynn Show at London Fashion Week...



No7 Creative Director, Lisa Eldridge created a look inspired by a 'post-apocalyptical world of sand storms and deserts' for the Todd Lynn show at Fashion Week.


Even though No7 is a client [of the company I work for] I still didnt get an invite to the show - I've been told its in the post ;) hehe!

This was pretty fabulous and definitely a look to consider... now, where's my vanity case *searches frantically*

ONLY TIME WE WEAR BURBERRY IS TO SWIM... AND DANCE AND WORK AND STRUT DOWN THE ROAD TO THE SWEET SHOP AND WALK THE DOG AND DO OUR DAILY CHORS AND...

... the list goes on. Haha!

The Burberry Porsem SS 2010 collection at LFWwas something serious!

At on point the Burberry tartan became a symbol for everything chav-tastic... and corny... and not very nice. 

Even Jay-Z stated (his very beautiful and glamous girlfriend) Beyonce "only wears Burberry to swim" [in Bonny & Clyde... you know what song I mean!]

But Burberry's come back bigger and better - and not a [tartan] print in sight. Yeeay! :) 

The show apprantly drew in hoards of celebrities including Gwyneth Paltrow, Victoria Beckham, Liv Tyler, Emma Watson, Mary Kate Olsen, Anna Wintour (American Vogue), Carine Roitfeld (French Vogue) and Glenda Bailey (American Harper’s Bazaar) and me... I watched the Burberry Porsem show online (great idea by the way Burb!)

ALL BLACK EVERYTHAAANG!

PPQ cast the first ever all-black show at London Fashion Week.

PPQ’s Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker decision. 'During our castings for this show one gorgeous black girl after the other turned up and they just looked so amazing, we decided to snap up all of the best black girls for the show,’ Amy told us. ‘All the models today have been so great, calm, no tantrums, no hissy fits, it's been totally chilled.’ Percy concurred: ‘It’s not something we really considered. We just wanted to find the most beautiful models and those were the best ones.’ But if the design duo didn’t think it was a big deal, the watching crowd certainly did. There were those that thought the casting was anything other than nonchalant and just a chance for PPQ to get a few extra column inches and those that celebrated the diversity.

WE'RE NOT PLUS SIZE WE'RE NORMAL

Apparantly a stylist at London Fashion Week stormed out of a show after the designer decided to use average-size models in mini-dresses (besides size 0 stick-figures... opps, I mean models)

"Mark Fast, known for his sculpted mini-dresses reflecting the recent body-conscious trend, used three models of a size larger than the catwalk is used to seeing – Hayley, Laura and Gwyneth – to model his knitwear designs.

Fast had been working with size-12 model Hayley Morley for the LFW photography exhibition, All Walks Beyond the Catwalk. It launched on Friday at London's Somerset House with a party attended by Alexandra Shulman, editor of British Vogue, and prime minister's wife Sarah Brown, who admitted she had "sneaked out" of a number 10 reception for British designers she was hosting.

The exhibition features models aged 18 to 65, in sizes 8 to 16, wearing outfits created by young London designers. It aims to change the narrow vision of beauty offered by the fashion world. The size issue is always a sore point within the industry. The 2007 Model Health Inquiry was launched by the British Fashion Council in response to the death from starvation of several models who had been slaves to the size-zero trend. It failed to set out any firm industry guidelines but the debate has gained momentum; this month, plus-size model Crystal Renn launched her autobiography at a glittering Manhattan party and talked of a new vogue for women "lush and sparkly with nary a jutting collarbone in sight"."
