Waaahooo! Go Williams :) See - there is life after DC!!!

BEYONCE WANTS EVERYONE TO HAVE A BIT OF HER EGO

The Grammy Award-winning singer and actress Beyoncé (or Bey, to you & me) has agreed a deal with Coty Inc. (I used to work there!) to develop and launch her debut signature fragrance - "so, thanks Mr. Hilfigure, but I'm going at it on my own" ;)

The fragrance hasn't been named yet - but there has been rumours that she cannot use 'fierce' (a la 'Sacha Fierce') due to copyright laws with Abercrome & Finch, but it is still scheduled for release in North and South America in early 2010 (plans to roll it out across Europe and key markets worldwide will happen later in the year).

...Dammit!!! I wished I still worked here - long enough to meet Bey.. Oh well! Another time maybe...

ALL BLACK EVERYTHAAANG!

PPQ cast the first ever all-black show at London Fashion Week.

PPQ’s Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker decision. 'During our castings for this show one gorgeous black girl after the other turned up and they just looked so amazing, we decided to snap up all of the best black girls for the show,’ Amy told us. ‘All the models today have been so great, calm, no tantrums, no hissy fits, it's been totally chilled.’ Percy concurred: ‘It’s not something we really considered. We just wanted to find the most beautiful models and those were the best ones.’ But if the design duo didn’t think it was a big deal, the watching crowd certainly did. There were those that thought the casting was anything other than nonchalant and just a chance for PPQ to get a few extra column inches and those that celebrated the diversity.

WE'RE NOT PLUS SIZE WE'RE NORMAL

Apparantly a stylist at London Fashion Week stormed out of a show after the designer decided to use average-size models in mini-dresses (besides size 0 stick-figures... opps, I mean models)

"Mark Fast, known for his sculpted mini-dresses reflecting the recent body-conscious trend, used three models of a size larger than the catwalk is used to seeing – Hayley, Laura and Gwyneth – to model his knitwear designs.

Fast had been working with size-12 model Hayley Morley for the LFW photography exhibition, All Walks Beyond the Catwalk. It launched on Friday at London's Somerset House with a party attended by Alexandra Shulman, editor of British Vogue, and prime minister's wife Sarah Brown, who admitted she had "sneaked out" of a number 10 reception for British designers she was hosting.

The exhibition features models aged 18 to 65, in sizes 8 to 16, wearing outfits created by young London designers. It aims to change the narrow vision of beauty offered by the fashion world. The size issue is always a sore point within the industry. The 2007 Model Health Inquiry was launched by the British Fashion Council in response to the death from starvation of several models who had been slaves to the size-zero trend. It failed to set out any firm industry guidelines but the debate has gained momentum; this month, plus-size model Crystal Renn launched her autobiography at a glittering Manhattan party and talked of a new vogue for women "lush and sparkly with nary a jutting collarbone in sight"."

NEW VIDEOS

BASEMENT JAXX FT. SANTOGOLD

SAIGON

Ok, I genuinely thought that Siagon was just a character on Entourage... shows how much I know.
*collases on floor* I should just give up now!

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

Ok, so I wasn't there *major sad face* but I read the news so, here are my faveorites...

VICTORIA BECKHAM SHOWS 'EM HOW ITS DONE

VB's not just a pretty face after all. Instead of a major show at NFW (which i think she should have done!) she decided to unveil her new collection to a small group of fashion editors and retailers.

VB collections is said to be a hit, however, you have to reeeeally have to be a model or at least be 6ft and a size 2 for the garments to really look as fabulous as they do on... on the models. Dammit! (I am a mere 5'2" and NOT a size 2 *sad face*)

Extreme dieting starts here!

MARC'S A LITTLE CLUELESS

Hilary Alexander, of Fashion Director at the Telegraph magazine called his collection, Marc by Marc Jacobs a "delightfully disarranged mix of High School Musical meets Clueless."

Jacobs described the collection as ‘bringing Downtown to Uptown’, a reflection on his younger years in the 1980s when New York’s street fashion scene was very dressed-up; very punk and Glam Rock-influenced.

Definately something I can sink my teeth into - my wardrobe needs an update anyway :)

ZARAAA-LUJAHHH!!!

Thank Goodness!!! and about FRIGGIN' time!

Apparel store, Zara has finally gone digital!!! Welcome to the 21st century :)

"The retailer's parent company Inditex announced that Zara will first debut e-shopping for Spain, France, Germany, the UK, Italy and Portugal before rolling out access to affordable fashion in all of Zara's markets." - horaaaah!

Check it out. www.zara.com

RIP PATRICK SWAYZE

The Hollywood actor unfortunately passed away in his sleep last night (Tuesday 15 Sept).

The star of hit movies such as Ghost and Dirty Dancing died at the age of 57 after his two year battle with pancreatic cancer.

RIP TO SUCH A GREAT STAR. YOU'LL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED. x

IN & OUT OF TROUBLE FOR ONLY 50CENT

Ok, this is new, I have to give it to 50 on this one.

We've all heard of rappers, becoming movie stars, releasing a clothing line, designing a trainer or two or even becoming a business mogul. But we have never heard of a rapper turned self-help guru!

Yurp! 50 went there. 50 has released a self-help book (or lifestyle guide, if you prefer) entitles 'The 50th Law'

subtle!

Ok, so 50 didn't write it all himself (lol - 50 doesn't really look like he could hold a pen up the right way without stabbing it in someone's eye) he infact had a little help from three-time New York Times best selling author Robert Greene, who co-wrote the book.

Urm... I... Urm.. will be eagerly waiting to read.. *breaks down* ARGH! I just can't do it!!!!! What's the book going to teach us?! Rule 1 of 50: How not to get shot. However, if this is unavoidable 'How to Get Shot Upto 9 Times and Survive' - WTF?!?! LOL

Good thing 50's made this book, after what he has done.

Turns out he has appeared on the cover of Smooth magazine with... Rick Ross' baby mother!!! (I'm not involved).

He probably thought a new book was the best way to mend his evil ways...

ELLE ROSE CALLED AMBER

I swear I should work for The Sun of the Daily Star!!! My headlines are off the chaaaaain! LOL not really.

One of my favorite girls, Amber Rose, will be featured in the October issue of Elle magazine, and not only that, she was styled by... none other than...? Mr Yeezy himself :)

KANYE BELIEVE IT!!!!

LOL! Saw that in the paper (had me in stiches!)

So at the MVTV Awards Kanye's had a few too many swigs of henny and jumps up on the stage during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for ‘Best Female Video’. Kanye grabs the mic and slurrs *yeezy voice*  “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’m going to let you finish but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time. One of the best of all time!”

The audience apprantly went wild and boo'ed his ass off stage - poor Taylor was left in shock and slightly heartbroken, I can imagine.

Imagine some crazy ass rapper dude jumping on stage, snatching the mic from you and telling the whole world, what you have worked so friggin hard for isn't worth diddly-squat next to (arguably) the most  beautiful woman in the world. Taylor is only... 19, right? She can only dreeeeeam to be anything compared to Bey, but to have that moment, where you thought you were one step closer snathed away from you is the ultimate piss take!!!

Now, Im a big fan of Kanye (pssst! Call me baby! lol) but that just wasn't right. Kanye knows if anyone tried that on him... well... exactly!

Annnnywhoooo, Beyonce later went on to win an award for Video of the Year (for ‘Single Ladies') she... [this is nice] gave up her time to call Taylor up and give her another chance to re-do her acceptance speech without interruption.

Everyone together now... "aaaahhhhh" :)

It doesn't stop there... Oh no!

Kanye later posted an apology on his blog, saying “I’m in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment. Beyonce’s video was the best of this decade…I’m sorry to my fans if I let you down guys… I’m sorry to my friends at MTV … I will apologize to Taylor. I’m still very happy for Taylor. I feel really bad for Taylor and I’m sincerely sorry.”

This must have been after he sobered up or after his publicist kicked the s*** out of him. lol

But wait... there's more!

Kanye went on Jay Leno the night after and apologised on American TV (it takes a big man to do that - no homo! lol)

LIL MAMA GETS A LIL OVER-EXCITED

Lil Mama gate-crashed Jay-Z And Alicia Keys' VMA Performance on Sunday night!

I'm not quite sure what the hell they put in the drinks they were serving at the VMA's LOL!!!

One-time rapper and "America's Best Dance Crew" judge Lil Mama jumped onstage during Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' performance of "Empire State of Mind", completely unannounced and uninvited.

Although Jay looked surprised (I would have too) but continued. Apprantley Jay-Z 'patted Mama on the leg to fall back and even threw in a quick joke, saying, "You T-Paining right now,"' [referring to when T-Pain jumped onstage with Jay-Z at Summer Jam during his "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)" performance].

what is wroooong with everyone jumping on stage?!?!?! WAIT YOUR TURN!!!

Lil Mama didn't pay him no mind and when it came to the end of the performance she even ran up to the front and stood beside both Jay & Alicia to do b-girl pose next to them.

Lil Mama gets THUMBS DOWN for this one!!! *shakes head* No one likes a try-hard
